Born May 8, 1975 in Tokyo. He grew up with tea ceremony and koto music. Studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Katō Hidekazu and Ikuta-ryū koto music under Ashigaki Miho at Chuo University's Chikugiri-kai. After graduating from the university, he studied classical shakuhachi under Yokoyama Katsuya. Currently, he is active in a wide range of activities including performances, live performances, shakuhachi classes, and school performances. He belongs to "Chikushinkai". Member of the Japanese instrument orchestra "Mutsu-no", koto, nagauta shamisen, shakuhachi unit "Ogumaza", and shakuhachi & Jazz piano trio "Heisei Roman Cats". Instructor of Toyo University's "Shakuhachi Circle Tsurezuregusa" and Higashi-Yamato Shakuhachi Circle "Takezurekai". Joined the group Aura-J in May 2014.
