In 1958, he entered the composition department of Kunitachi College of Music and studied harmony and fugue under Yuzuru Shimaoka and counterpoint under Kanji Tonosaki. After dropping out of the university, he studied under Yoriaki Matsudaira. His style is influenced by jazz and Asian / African folk music, as well as popular songs, rokyoku, and jiuta. Famous works:: Concerto 1962 (Music Notomosha Composition Sweepstakes, and ISCM 89th World Music Festival in 1965) Air 1968 (for unaccompanied violin) Toccata 1968 (for Japanese music ensemble) Concertanto 1969 (excellent at the art festival ) Award.
